Interactive Media for the Silver Generation !!!

A bit of a re-wind to 2011,  back then in November the Health Promotion Board had road-show events for the 50′s and above to promote a Healthy and Active Ageing Lifestyle.

The event cleverly used interactive media to engage and educate the Silver Generation on Healthy Ageing and colorectal cancer through the use of Touch Screen Activated Quiz and Augmented Reality.  Here are some pictures of that event day!!

Ushering the Dragon Year!

NEA goes on Eco Sprint!!!

In a bid promote a clean and green Singapore, the National Environment Agency launched an integrated campaign on television, digital, print and Out-of-Home till January 2012. This project was a collaborative effort by Starcom, ADK Singapore, Pen to Pixel, D.ink and Clear Channel Singapore.

D.ink played an advisory role and integration specialist for the digital component to be experienced at Clear Channel interactive bus shelter panels. Making use of bus travellers commuting intervals, the game is about a bunny (other 2 other characters) running through our Singapore landscape, avoiding/collecting different objects in resprective of the campaign objectives.

Moving into 2012 what is expected of Augmented Reality and Interactive Media

Augmented Reality essentially changes how we  consume, interact, learn, enjoy and share digital space and information.  The idea of pointing a mobile device equipped with a camera, at anything in the physical world and instantly receiving augmented digital content is slowly (but surely) picking up speed.

Advancements in hardware technologies and the ever growing size of content will turn AR into our everyday digital interface. This will eventually change the way we consume our daily dosage of information.

Our Team Visits Guangzhou CHINAPLAS, with interactive I-STANDs touch panels

SABIC’s theme for Chinaplas 2011, “A Culture of Innovation”, captures the company’s aspiration to grow even further through new and innovative technologies with a focus on sustainability, as well as deepening relationships with customers and partners.

It was during this event that we were engaged to create and develop a touch screen interface for trade visitors.  SABIC wanted an innovative system that allowed trade visitors to intuitively browse through the many product lines SABIC (the client) has to offer. These I-STANDs has features to send specific product info in PDF back to the visitors via email instantaneously and submit further enquires back to the sales team.

It is with great appreciation to SABIC and PICO ART INTERNATIONAL  that we are able to successfully deploy. Needless to say the team behind supporting this project!!

D.ink and Clear Channel launches first Mobile AR for Joint Poly Admissions !!!

A task force made up of the 5 polytechnics in Singapore – Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic placed an Out-Of-Home campaign.

The team at D.ink was the technology partner for this campaign, with Sparkfury taking the creative lead and Clear Channel for OOH media. A free mobile Augmented Reality application (i-OS and Android) name “e-Bot” was developed to experience augmented reality imposed on the OOH bus shelters by Clear Channel.

The entire AR campaign promotes the idea of “Create New Trends!”, “Build Cool Stuff!” through engineering courses available at the five polytechnics in Singapore.

The client P&G chose to use facial tracking to share the experience of the new Gillette Proglide Shaver. The public can now enjoy a virtual shave at the Singapore bus shelters.

AR with Sony W262 Walkman

Sony Walkman has launched their new Walkman W262 with a bang! Crowds were enjoying themselves and having a great time taking photos with the virtual headset. Check out the video if you missed the event!

You can also head down to their website to experience the augmented reality Sony W262 Walkman. But of course nothing beats the real thing. We still cannot hear out of the virtual headset.
